Hello and welcome!  Winter may have just started and with the snow starting to pile up I thought Sunshine was in order!!  Today's card features goodies from SimonSaysStamp (Bring the Sunshine stamp set), Paper Smooches (curly clouds die cuts), and Distrsss inks (worn lipstick, wild honey, mustard seed, mowed grass, and peacock feathers).  To start, I die cut a stitched rectangle panel using Neenah solar white, masked off vertical stripes using painters tape, then ink blended Distress inks.  With Distress inks staying a little wet after applied, I set aside panel to dry and die cut clouds using a scrap piece of white felt. Once background panel was dry, I stamped sentiment, masking as I went so I could utilize two different colors of embossing powders (both from Ranger; orange and yellow).  You may notice the the sentiment was off slightly but I thought it was so slight and didn't want to start all over.  Lol!  To finish card, I assembly panel and clouds and adhered to card base, added sequins.  Thank so much for stopping by...take care!

Stuck with Me...
Hello friends!!, who's ready for the weekend?  I'm certainly looking forward to spending some crafty time in my craft room, relaxing, and doodling the days away.  Today's card features this fun set from MFT's "sweet succulents" and Copic coloring.  To start, I stamped, die cut image using coordinating dies, and Copic colored.  I then added a Wink of Stella in clear and a coat of glossy accents.  I wanted to keep this card fairly simple so I thought that adding the Wink and glossy accents would give a little detail without taking away from the overall design.  I set aside image to dry then die cut "wonky window" (MFT's) out of stitched rectangle panel, spritzed a Gold Shimmer Spray from Ranger, and trimmed a piece of patterned paper to fit behind (MFT's gingham patterned paper). To finish, I stamped sentiment, heat embossed, and adhered image to panel using foam tabs.  I hope everyone enjoys their weekend and thanks so much for stopping by...take care!

Woodland Friends...
Hello and welcome friends!  These summer days are just flying by!, can hardly believe that school will start again soon and that Autumn is just around the corner.  With the calendar getting ready to turn, I thought this stamp from Wild Rose Studio would be perfect to practice my coloring skills.  To start, I stamped image onto a piece of Neenah solar white #110lb using Memento tuxedo dye ink.  I began coloring image using Faber-Castell colored pencils, gamsol (mineral spirit), and a paper blender.  Once image was colored, I chose a scalloped rectangle frame from MFT's as a border to this adorable scene.  I die cut frame from the panel and Neenah desert storm #100lb.  To finish, I stamped sentiment and adhered panel/frame onto card base also from Neenah desert storm.  Thanks so much for stopping by...take care!

Rainbow Cactus...
Hello and welcome friends!  Today's card features this cutie set from Lawn Fawn (stuck on you) and Prima Oil Pastel Crayons.  To start, I die cut a stitched rectangle panel using Canson XL watercolor paper.  Next, I added a fair amount of crayon to this image, making sure to cover each portion then stamped continuously down making in a rainbow order.  I misted the stamp slightly prior to stamping allowing the color to move slightly without spreading out across the paper to much.  Once panel was stamped and dry to touch, I stamped sentiment onto a piece of black card stocks and white heat embossed.  To finish the card, I adhered panel to card base, adhered twine then sentiment, stamped heart and adhered, and finally adding the clear drops.  Thank you so much for stopping by...take care!  Please note: this card has been submitted to the current Lawnscaping blog (www.lawnscaping.blogspot.com) Challenge #135.

Field of Poppies...
Hello friends!! The Daily Marker 30 day Color Challenge is wrapping up and thought these pretties from RubberNecker stamps would be perfect!  To start, I stamped these poppy flowers onto a piece of Strathmore hot pressed watercolor paper then heat embossed.  I next, began watercoloring using various Distress inks (lucky clover, ripe persimmon, and dried marigold).  Once dry, I went back to add a little detail to the panel by watercoloring sky and ground again using Distress inks (Victorian velvet for sky and crushed olive and forest moss for ground).  To finish, I stamped sentiment, heat embossed, and adhered panel to a SSS fog cardstock base.  Thanks again to Kathy R. for hosting another great 30 day Color Challenge and thank you for stopping by...take care!
