Shining Bright...
Hello friends...hope everyone is having a good week so far!  Today's card features a new to me product/technique...Ken Oliver's Color Bursts.  OMG!!, I'm in love.  So fun and easy to use.  I first die cut a rectangle out of distress watercolor paper then lightly added powder to paper.  I then spritzed water across paper, and these colors just "burst" to life.  I controlled the color mixing by lightly dabbing using a paper towel.  Once the color was in place and I lightly dried using heat tool.  Next, I stamped circles and sentiment (Lawn Fawn's let's bokeh) then heat embossed.  To finish, I adhered panel to card base using fun foam and added sequins.  Thanks so much for stopping by...take care!

Just a note...
Hello friends...Happy Tuesday!  Today's card features a goodie stamp set from Sugar Pea Designs (just a note) and ink smooshing using Distress inks (twisted citron, squeezed lemonade, picked raspberry).  To start, I die cut rectangle panel using distress watercolor paper then applied ink using a piece of acetate.  To keep the colors from mixing to much I heat set each before moving to the next color.  I then die cut envelope from a piece of SSS black cardstock and die cut paper airplane using Neenah solar white #80.  To finish, I stamped sentiment, heart, and dash line using Versafine Onyx black pigment ink.  Thanks so much for stopping by...take care!

Birdie Valentine...
Hello...hope everyone is staying warm on this cold and snowy Sunday!  Today's card features watercoloring using Distress inks (dried marigold, worn lipstick, and spun sugar) and Prima watercolor pencils.  To start, I stamped, heat embossed, and die cut this "Crazy Bird" three times.  I watercolored the bird using Prima watercolor pencils using a orange, soft red, and pink.  I then colored the wings, and eyes, die cutting these parts using matching dies.  Next, I stamped, heat embossed, watercolored, and die cut heart.  I then stamped "tiny hearts" background stamp from Hero Arts using distress inks and a spritz of perfect Pearl solution onto a piece of distress watercolor paper.  To finish, I placed sticker sentiments onto black cardstock, trimmed, and adhered to background panel.  Please note: this card has been submitted to the current SimonSaysStamp Wednesday Challenge blog.  Thanks so much for stopping by...take care!

Birthday Blooms....
Hello!  Who doesn't love a beautiful flower stamp set to practice coloring skills with!?!  Today's card features just that...this stamp set from Penny Black (winter blooms) is full of beautiful flowers to practice a variety of coloring mediums...I chose to use Copics for this card.  I began by stamping image onto a piece of X-press it blending card, Copic colored, then fussy cut.  I then splattered some "festive berries" distress inks and Heidi Swapp gold coloring mist onto a trimmed piece of Neenah solar white.  To add a little interest, I added "black soot" distress ink across a diagonal stencil on card base, then placed a thin strip of double sided adhesive and coated in ECD's desert gold microfine glitter.  To finish, I stamped sentiment and adhered panel to card base using fun foam.  Thanks so much for stopping by...take care!

Warmest Wishes...
Hello! I recently received this cutie stamp set from Wplus9 (holiday hugs) and I've been itching to use it.  I first stamped image onto a piece of die cut Strathmore mixed media then gold heat embossed.  This helps to keep the water/color from running across the image.  I then colored image using Zig clean color brushes and added water with a small rounded brush.  Next, I water colored background panel using masking and Distress inks/paint (cracked pistachio, worn lipstick, and Tarnished Brass paint).  My hands are not the steadiest, so masking helps keep my lines (somewhat) straight.  I then die cut circle, stamped image, and heat embossed.  To finish, I adhered circle to image, adhered image/sentiment to background using fun foam.  Please note: this card has been submitted to the current SimonSaysStamp Wednesday Challenge blog.  Thanks so much for stopping by...take care!

You brighten my day....
Hello!  With winter finally settling in over Western Pennsylvania, I thought I needed a little orange in my life :)   Today's card features some goodies from SimonSaysStamp & Avery Elle + ink smooshing using Distress inks (scattered straw, fossilized amber, dried marigold, carved pumpkin).  To start, I "ink smooshed" distress inks onto Distress watercolor paper using a piece of acetate.  I wanted these colors to stand out from one another so I dried each color before applying the next.  I then die cut "sun" from double sided adhesive then coated using Elizabeth Craft Designs microfine glitter.  Next, I die cut  "you" several times stacking each and Copic coloring top using an "ombré" look.  To finish, I adhered these elements onto watercolor panel then stamped sentiment using Versafine onyx black pigment ink.  Thanks so much for stopping by...take care!

A Jolly Hello...
Hello friends...Hope everyone is having a great start to 2016!  Today's card features one of my favorite ways to use colored pencils...colored pencils on kraft cardstock.  To begin, I stamped image onto a die cut piece of Neenah desert storm using Hero Arts unicorn white pigment ink.  I just love how this white ink shows up on cardstock, so crisp and clean.  Next, I began adding colored pencils (Faber-Castell) onto image, slowly layering color..  It's easy to add but hard to take away.  I then stamped several snowflakes around image using same ink.  To finish, I stamped sentiment then adhered to card base using fun foam.  Thanks so much for stopping by...take care!
