Plaid Carnations

Plaid Carnations...
Hello and welcome!  Today’s card features this lovely floral set from Altenew (Paint-a-Flower: Carnation) and watercoloring using Altenew 36 half pan set.  To start, I ink blended a piece of Altenew watercolor paper using Pink’n Main plaid stencil and Spun Sugar Distress Ink.  I then stamped floral image over ink blended BG then heat embossed using Ranger Silver Pearl embossing powder.  Since I was planning on watercoloring this image, I knew that Ink Blending the BG would not interfere with the watercoloring since Distress Ink is water reactive.  I began watercoloring the image by first adding a light wash of color then going back over intensifying color and shadows.  To finish, I trimmed panel, stamped sentiment and fussy cut, they adhered panel onto trimmed piece of Vellum and pink cardstock before adhering to the card base.  Thanks so much for stopping by...take care!

Hello Friends and welcome!  Today’s card features several fun sets from Lawn Fawn including Build-a-House die cut set and Say What? Spring Critters.  To start, I die cut elements from the Build-a-House set from several pieces of colored cardstock and Neenah solar white/desert storm cardstock. I ink blended the house using Fossilized Amber Distress Ink over a brick stencil from My Favorite Things.  Next, I ink blended a scrap piece of Neenah solar white cardstock using Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress Inks then die cut using Lawn Fawn grassy hillsides.  In addition, I die cut Lawn Lawn Stitched Tree Borders and My Favorite Things Farm Fence.  Next, I ink blended a BG panel using My Favorite Things cloud stencil and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink.  I then stamped, die cut, and Copic colored images.  I began assembling all these elements, stamped sentiment, and finished by adhering elements to card base.  Thanks so much for stopping by... take care!

Hello and welcome!  Today’s card features this adorable set from SimonSaysStamp (Forever Friends), watercoloring using Zig Clean Color real brush markers, and Ink Blending using Distress Inks (twisted citron and mowed lawn).  To start, I ink blended a trimmed piece of Neenah solar white cardstock.  Next, I stamped image using a mirror image technique and then watercolor image using a light wash of color.  To finish, I stamped sentiment and hearts, adhered image to panel using fun foam, and coated all hearts with Wink of Stella clear and glossy accents.  Thanks so much for stopping by... take care!  Please note: this card has been submitted to the current SimonSaysStamp Flickr Challenge #143
