Cheers to New Years...
Hello friends! Well we're getting ready to ring in a new year so I thought what better way then to start a new year than to try a "new to me" technique...plaid watercolor background?!! I started with a rectangle die cut panel using Distress watercolor paper.  I then wet paper and added distress inks (tumbled glass, abandoned coral, fossilized amber).  Note: I first added tumbled glass to entire panel then went horizontally then vertically with the other colors.  Next, I die cut sentiment several times, using double sided adhesive, and applying ECD's microfine glitter in "desert gold".  I then adhered sentiment on top of a piece of gold thread which was glued to panel, and lastly added sequins.  Thanks so much for stopping by...take care!  P.S.  This card was submitted to the current SimonSaysStamp Wednesday Challenge blog. :)

Merry and Bright...
Hello!, hope everyone enjoyed their holiday.  Christmas maybe over but I'm finding it hard to put away my holiday stamps...lol.  Today's card features a fun stamp set from Mama Elephant (Polar Pals) and ink blending using Distress inks (spun sugar, cracked pistachio, peacock feathers, and seedless preserves).  To begin, I die cut a panel of Neenah solar white #110 using SSS stitched rectangle, stamped and masked "hill", and slowly blending distress inks going from lightest color to darkest.  Next, I stamped, die cut, and Copic colored images.  Finally, I stamped sentiment, heat embossed, and added Stickles.  Thanks so much for stopping by...take care!

Season's Greetings...
Hello friends!  Squeezing in a few more Holiday cards before they pass...lol.  Today's card features a fun set from Paper Smooches (gently seasoned 2) and watercolored background using Distress inks (spun sugar, cracked pistachio, peacock feathers, and seedless preserves).  To start, I stamped tree and snowflakes onto a piece of Distress watercolor paper then heat embossed using Hero Arts white embossing powder.  I then took my Versamark  pen and gently added "ground" then heat embossed that using Ranger light blue embossing powder.  Since embossing resists color, I added a light wash of water and lightly added distress inks, heat setting each color before moving onto the next.  To finish, I added a few sequins from PrettyPinkPosh...thanks so much for stopping by...take care!

Holiday Birthday....
Hello friends!! Tis' the season for holiday cards, but can't forget about those who share the holidays with their birthdays... my father being one of them.  I wanted to make a more "masculine" card and thought adding a sweater to this cute moose from Lawn Fawn and ink blending some distress inks would help do the trick.  To begin, I stamped trees then masked trees and hillside to create the sky, ink blending Victorian Velvet, Faded Jeans, and Black Soot (distress inks).  Next, lightly spritzed background using Hero Arts white unicorn spray.  I then stamped image, drew "sweater" and Copic colored moose and trees.  Next, to add a little texture to the hillside, I dabbed on a light coat of Picket Fences distress paint.  To finish, I die cut sentiment from MFT's wild cherry cardstock, adhered to panel, adhered panel to same color card base, and added enamel dots.  Hope my Father enjoys this card as much as I did making it. Thanks so much for stopping by...take care!

Peace and Joy...
Hello friends, countdown to Christmas has begun!! Today's card features a cutie stamp from Art Impressions "Savior Window" and watercoloring using Distress inks (spun sugar, tumbled glass, broken China, weathered wood, fossilized Amber, and seedless preserves).  To start, I stamped image onto a piece of Strathmore's mixed media paper, die cut inside image (LF's stitched rectangles), heat embossed image while keeping both negative and positive pieces taped together.  I then watercolored image using the above mentioned distress inks, applying color layer by layer, adding shadows and depth.  To finish, I added foam adhesive to positive panel piece and then added liquid adhesive to inside (image) negative piece, hoping this would add a little interest to an otherwise simple card.  Thanks so much for stopping by...take care!

Watercolored Greetings...
Hello, hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!  Today's card features some goodies from SimonSaysStamp and watercoloring using Distress inks.  To begin, I die cut trees (SSS) out of Tim Holtz distress watercolor paper.  I then applied a light wash of water to panel and lightly added inks (Victorian Velvet, Evergreen Bough, Shaded Lilac, and Spun Sugar) using a round watercolor brush and set aside to dry.  I next watercolored trees using same process (Crushed Olive, Peeled Paint, and Pine Needles).  Once trees were dry, I added a piece of double sided adhesive to back of panel, die cut several trees out of Neenah solar white, then inlaid trees into negative space, stacking die cuts.  To finish, I stamped sentiment (SSS), heat embossed using Ranger gold embossing powder, die cut stars from gold foil paper and adhered to top of trees.  Please note: this card was submitted to the current SSSMondayChallenge blog.  Thanks so much for stopping by...take care!

Merry Shaker...
Hello!!  Who's ready for the weekend?... Lol.  This shaker card was inspired by the super talented JenniferMcGuireInk, if you haven't heard of her or seen her work I highly recommend you check her website, loads of inspiration and great tips/tricks.  I began by stamping these cute images from Clearly Besotted "Best Christmas", Copic colored, and fussy cut. Next, I measured 4x4 photo pocket, giving me an idea how wide to make shaker pocket.  I then heated my "fuse tool" and gently applied tool to plastic, melting the side to help form the shaker pocket.  Next, I added gift card, sequins, and seed beads (sequins and seed beads: PrettyPinkPosh) before sealing the top with fuse tool.  To finish, I adhered images and sentiment to shaker card using Xyron sticker maker.  Thanks so much for stopping by...take care!

Watercolor Winter Blooms...
Hello and welcome! Today's card features stamps from Penny Black "winter blooms" and watercoloring using Prima watercolor pencils.  To start, I stamped flower image onto a piece of Strathmore's cold press watercolor paper, then gold heat embossed.  I then wet down each petal of flower, then picking up color from pencils using a wet brush, adding color as I moved from petal to petal.  I went over each area a few times with color, slowly building to help add shadows.  Once dried, I stamped sentiment and gold embossed as well.  Next, I masked flower then spritzed a light coating of gold color spray from Heidi Swapp.  I finished card by adding a few sequins and adhering panel to card base using fun foam.  Thanks so much for stopping by...take care!
