Thank You Notes

Thank You Notes...

Hello and Welcome!  Today’s card features this lovely floral set from Waffle Flower Crafts (A Little Note) and watercoloring using Pinkfresh Studio liquid watercolors.  To start, I ink blended a Neenah solar white cardstock panel using SimonSaysStamp diagonal stripes stencil and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink.  I then die cut circle window, then ink blended Distress Ink Cracked Pistachio behind the opening of the window on another trimmed Neenah solar white panel.  Next, I stamped floral image using Versafine Onyx black pigment ink, heat embossed using Clear embossing powder, and die cut.  I then began watercoloring image by first adding a light wash of color and water, then going back over intensifying colors and shadows.  To finish, I stamped sentiment, assembled elements, adhered to card base, then added a few flat circle sequins in clear.  Thanks so much for stopping by... take care!

Crocus For You

Crocus For You...

Hello Friends and welcome!  Today’s card features this lovely floral set from Pretty Pink Posh (Crocus Flowers) and watercoloring using Altenew watercolor brush markers (Winter Wonderland).  To start, I stamped images onto a piece of Fabriano hot press extra white watercolor paper then gold heat embossed. I chose not to mask the images as I was stamping, I wanted a softer look to the painting and wanted to see what the end result would be.  Trial and error, but experimentation sometimes pays off as I really liked the look of the coloring in the end, reminds me of stain glass windows.  Once the stamping and heat embossing was finish, I began watercoloring images by first adding the color and a light wash, then going back over intensifying colors and shadows.  I then stamped sentiment and again gold heat embossed.  To finish, I splattered the background using white gouache paint and a perfect pearl solution, then adhered panel to a Lawn Fawn rainforest cardstock card base.  Thanks so much for stopping by...take care!
